— Anne Marie Seda, PMHNP-BC

Mental health issues can be highly debilitating, disrupting multiple aspects of an individual’s life. It can affect a person’s mood, thinking, and behavior and can adversely impact how well a person functions at work, school, and home. Mental health disorders can occur once, return intermittently, or continue over time depending on genetics, life events, and stressors. It's the disruption of our daily life that signifies the conditions that may benefit from treatment.

People often mistakenly assume that mental health disorders are a normal part of living and never realize they have a condition that can be treated. People also fear that they caused their symptoms, or they believe the symptoms are due to a weakness or character flaw. Most behavioral health disorders are medical problems caused by a combination of environmental stressors coupled with a genetic predisposition.   Prevention, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of these conditions are central to comprehensive health care.

I believe in working closely with you, your therapist, and your primary care physician to provide a comprehensive, holistic, and collaborative approach to treatment. Together we will set goals that put you back on the path to finding the best version of yourself.
